What is Vascular dementia and does Medicare cover the care for it?

I have never heard of an illness called vascular dementia.  My question is does Medicare cover the care that goes along with vascular dementia?  Does it have anything to do with regular dementia?

Vascular Dementia is caused by too little supply of blood to the brain, and may be caused by a series of small Strokes.  Medicare will cover the cost of Vascular Dementia al long as your doctor prescribes treatment.
Make sure that your Medicare Prescription Drug plan covers the Drugs need to treat this Condition.

Vascular Dementia is damage to the brain caused by multiple strokes.  It causes a decline in the thinking skills, reasoning skills, planning, judgment and memory.   Treatment can help but the condition cannot be cured.
Medicare will cover inpatient hospital care and some of the physician costs and other medical items for people with dementia or Alzheimer's for people 65 and over.
