If someone has original Medicare parts A and B with a Medigap plan, can they get good treatment for Alzheimers?

Re: Alzheimers and Medicare

Medicare covers inpatient hospital care and some of the doctors fees for beneficiaries with Alzheimer's and up to 100 days of skilled nursing home care under certain conditions.  A good Medigap plan F with companies like Aetna, AARP, or Mutual of Omaha and others will pick up the deductibles that Medicare Does not pay.  Medicare does not cover long term nursing care.

Re: Alzheimers and Medicare

Medicare will now pay for testing for dementia and care planning; however, Medicare does not pay for long-term custodial care services for Alzheimer's patients.

Medicare will also cover inpatient hospital care and some doctors' fees for people that have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's or dementia and will also pay for up to 100 days in a skilled nursing facility.
